ApacheCon Mailing Lists

The Apache Software Foundation is dedicated to software development and distribution, and most (if not all) of its projects relate to the use of the Internet. It therefore seems only appropriate that the main mechanism for sharing information about ApacheCon be via electronic mailing lists.

The mailing lists described below are the ones that are publicly supported for ApacheCon activities.

The Announcements List

The announcement list is a low-traffic read-only list to which updates and announcements about the ApacheCon events are sent. If you are at all interested in the conference, you should subscribe to this list.

The Discussion List

The ApacheCon discussion list was created in April of 2002 to provide a forum in which ApacheCon delegates (actual or potential) can compare notes, network with each other, and provide public feedback and suggestions to the ApacheCon planning committee.

Traffic on the discussion list is driven entirely by user interest, so it may vary wildly. The ApacheCon planners may respond to remarks and questions posted to the list, but there is no guarantee -- for now, the list remains an unofficial communication medium.

This list is also available in digest form, which means you'll get a single message every day or whenever a sufficient number of messages have been sent.

If you are interested in the opinions of others about the conferences, or would like to comment on or help improve the ApacheCon experience, you should subscribe to this list.
